1. 01
Get a GALA to SAND quote

Enter how much Gala you want to convert. You see the live GALA to SAND rate, both fees and the exact The Sandbox you will receive before you commit.

2. 02
   Send your Gala

You get a Gala (GALA) deposit address and an exact amount. Send it from any Gala wallet — scanning the QR code fills in both where your wallet supports it.

3. 03
   Receive The Sandbox (SAND)

Once the GALA deposit confirms on-chain, The Sandbox is sent to the The Sandbox address you gave. Track it on the swap’s status page, no login needed.

What does the GALA to SAND rate mean?

It is how much The Sandbox (SAND) you receive for each Gala (GALA) you send, taken from live market prices at the moment you ask for a quote. The rate moves with the market, so you have 90 seconds to accept a quote and create the swap; the widget refreshes it automatically if you take longer. Funding the swap once it exists has its own separate deadline, shown on your swap page.

How do I convert GALA to SAND?

Enter the amount of GALA in the widget, choose SAND as what you receive, and give a The Sandbox address. You are shown a deposit address and an exact GALA amount; send that amount and the SAND is paid to your address once the deposit confirms. No account is needed at any step.

What are the fees to exchange GALA for SAND?

Two, both shown in the quote before you send: a swap fee of 0.5% of the amount, and a network-fee charge for the The Sandbox payout transaction. There is nothing added afterwards — the SAND amount in the quote is the SAND amount that arrives.

What is the minimum GALA/SAND exchange amount?

$100 worth, shown in the widget as an amount of GALA at the current rate. There is no maximum imposed by the site beyond available The Sandbox liquidity, and no verification at any size.

Do I need an ID to swap GALA to SAND?

No. There is no KYC, no account and no email required. A swap is identified by its link, which shows its status without logging in. Creating an account is optional and only keeps your swap history in one place.

How long do GALA to SAND swaps take?

Gala deposits usually confirm in a few minutes, after which the deposit is verified on-chain. Swap times vary by asset and by how quickly its network confirms. Your swap status page shows the current stage throughout the process.

Which The Sandbox address should I give?

Any address in a format The Sandbox accepts: 0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters.

What happens if my GALA deposit is late or the swap expires?

There are two separate deadlines. The quote itself is held for 90 seconds — that is how long you have to accept the price and create the swap. Once the swap exists you get a separate funding window, shown on your swap page, to send the GALA. If your deposit arrives after that window closes, the status page shows Expired and the swap moves to Review required; it is then completed at the current rate or refunded to your refund address. Nothing is lost by being late — a late deposit just needs review before it is processed.

Can I swap SAND back to GALA?

Yes — every pair works in both directions. The SAND to GALA page is linked below.
