Large swaps

Large swaps,
handled directly.

For cryptocurrency swaps above $2,000,000. Request an executable quote and coordinate settlement directly with our desk.

$2M+ trades

Higher-value swaps handled through the large-swap flow.

Direct quote

Liquidity and pricing are checked before funds are requested.

Coordinated settlement

Deposit instructions are provided only after the quote is accepted.

  • For trades above $2,000,000. At or below that, the normal swap flow prices and settles automatically — no request needed.
  • You submit the trade and a contact; a person on the desk sends back an executable quote. No funds, no deposit address, and nothing to accept at request time.
  • The fee is 0.50% — the same rate as an ordinary swap, already inside the quoted figure. An accepted quote is fixed and never re-priced if the market moves.
  • Deposit instructions appear only after you accept. A deposit that doesn't match the accepted amount, or arrives late, goes to a person, not an automatic reject.

How a large swap works

A trade this size is handled by a person, not the automatic quote engine. You send a request, the desk sends back a firm quote, and settlement is coordinated with you directly. No funds move until you have accepted a price.

  1. Send a request. Choose what you are sending and receiving, the amount, your destination address, and a contact — email or Telegram. No funds, no deposit address, and no quote at this stage.
  2. Receive a quote. The desk reviews the request and sends back an executable quote — the rate, the 0.50% fee and the network fee already inside the final figure, so what you accept is what arrives.
  3. Accept and fund. Accept the quote before it expires. Only then do the deposit instructions appear, on your private swap page. Send the exact accepted amount within the funding window shown.
  4. Settlement and payout. The deposit is verified on its network and the receiving coin is sent to the address you gave. An accepted quote is never re-priced, so a later market move does not change your payout. Every step is an ordinary on-chain transaction you can check on a public explorer.

Pricing and liquidity

The quote the desk sends shows the whole picture before you accept anything: the exchange rate, the swap fee, the payout network fee, and the final amount you receive. The figure you accept is the figure that arrives.

The fee is 0.50% — the same standing rate as an ordinary swap, not a wider spread for size. A quote is only ever offered for an amount the desk can actually settle; rather than quote a price it cannot stand behind, it will tell you so. Because the accepted quote is a fixed snapshot, the price you agree is held for the funding window and is not adjusted if the market moves while you send.

Custody and processing

There are no custodial account balances: nothing to fund, hold or withdraw, and no wallet you top up. Each swap is a one-time exchange against a destination address you supply.

While a swap is processed, getMonero.app temporarily controls the deposited funds — the deposit arrives at an address we generate, and the receiving coin is released to your address once the deposit is verified. Every deposit and payout is an ordinary on-chain transaction you can check on a public explorer.

Monero payouts go to a standard (4…), integrated (4…, 106 characters) or subaddress (8…) address. The Monero you receive is private on-chain: ring signatures, stealth addresses and RingCT hide the sender, your address and the amount.

Timing: two separate deadlines

Quote validity is how long you have to accept the price the desk sent. Each quote carries its own expiry, shown when you receive it, and it runs out whether or not you have started.

The funding window is separate and begins only once you have accepted and the swap exists. It is the time you have to broadcast the deposit, and its exact length is shown on your own swap page. Blockchain confirmation time is separate again, and continues on its own once your deposit is sent.

Frequently asked questions

When does a trade go to the large-swap desk?
Trades above $2,000,000 are handled here. At or below that figure, use the normal swap flow — it prices and settles automatically without a request. There is no upper limit stated for the desk; a quote is only ever offered for an amount we can actually settle.
Do I need an account or identity documents?
No. There is no account and no identity check at any size. We take a contact — email or Telegram — for one reason only: to send you the quote and coordinate settlement. It does not open an account.
How is a large swap priced?
A person on the desk authors an executable quote and sends it to you. The fee is 0.50% — the same standing rate as an ordinary swap — and it is already inside the figure you are quoted, alongside the network fee, so the amount you accept is the amount that arrives.
What if the market moves after I accept?
It does not change your payout. An accepted quote is a fixed snapshot: the settlement is built from exactly those figures and is never re-priced. You send the accepted amount within the funding window, and that is what you receive.
What if my deposit does not match the accepted amount?
It is not processed automatically. A deposit that differs from the accepted figure, or that arrives after the funding window, is routed to a person on the desk who reconciles it with you. Nothing is discarded.

If something needs attention

A swap can end up waiting for a person rather than completing on its own — most often when the deposit amount does not match the figure on the swap, or when it arrives after the funding window has closed. In both cases the deposit is not discarded; it is reviewed and handled individually.

  • Wrong amount, or a deposit after the window: email support@getmonero.app with your swap link and the deposit transaction hash.
  • Deposit not detected, or processing delayed: the swap page shows the current status throughout — keep the link, which without an account is the only route back to the transaction.
  • Beyond what the system will quote: email support — a person answers.
